We are excited to announce that m-erg’s very own Will Hood has been accepted into CoachRICE, an immersive leadership coaching program offered by the Rice University Doerr Institute for New Leaders (DINL), in partnership with the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies.

This prestigious program aims to create a “community of leaders who foster positive change through innovative thought, reflection, and analysis.” Over 60 hours of coursework this summer, Will will cultivate his already extensive leadership skills through the CoachRICE program. As a Clinical and Behavior-Based Ergonomic Specialist (CBES) with a unique background in clinical psychology and family systems, Will is m-erg’s behavior modification specialist. We can’t wait to see how the coaching and leadership acumen Will brings to m-erg will be even further sharpened by this well-respected business development program.

Official Rice University details on the program are below:

“The CoachRICE training program uses a variety of teaching methodologies to deliver a practical skill set while maintaining a level of theoretical curriculum consistent with Rice University standards. Participants will develop their personal leadership skills as well as the ability to support leadership development in others. Through concentrated learning modules, participants will explore processes that combine collaboration, creativity and compassion to become a co-active agent of change for clients and organizations.

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Rice Certificate of Achievement and earn the 60 hours of coach-specific training required for ICF’s Associate Certified Coach (ACC) application.”

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on Will’s journey as he begins working with the program later this summer. You can read more about CoachRICE here.
